Scorpion Therapeutics in Foster City, CA (hybrid-eligible) seeks an Associated Director, Data & AI Delivery Lead for Clinical Development. You will own end-to-end AI delivery across trial ops, data management, and safety, shaping roadmaps and measuring adoption across programs.

You'll lead hybrid delivery teams, set technical standards, manage vendor relationships, ensure GxP regulatory compliance, and drive measurable improvements through scalable Databricks/AWS-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with substantial relevant experience.
• Proven track record delivering AI/ML projects in Agile environments.
• Hands-on data engineering, data science, or architecture experience.

Associated Director, Data & AI Delivery Lead – Clinical Development (Foster City, CA; hybrid-eligible)

Key Responsibilities:

• - Own end-to-end delivery (timeline and technical quality) of Clinical Development AI use cases from ideation through production
• - Use a product-centric approach with clear ownership, roadmaps, and user adoption metrics
• - Manage Agile delivery: sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and releases (including continuous improvement)
• - Oversee scalable solutions using Databricks, AWS, and Gilead’s Data & AI enterprise platforms
• - Lead hybrid technical delivery teams; facilitate technical problem-solving across clinical development domains
• - Shape technical standards for research data models, storage, and automation workflows
• - Maintain technical documentation and runbooks; serve as escalation point for technical risks/blockers
• - Ensure integration with enterprise data platforms and reusable components; define/enforce AI/ML and data pipeline standards
• - Monitor product performance and drive measurable continuous improvement; track delivery, performance, and adoption metrics
• - Manage vendor relationships and co-sourced delivery teams
• - Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements (GxP)

Key Skills & Experience:

• - Bachelor’s +10+ years (or Master’s +8+ years) relevant experience
• - Experience leading AI/ML delivery programs in Agile
• - Hands-on data engineering, data science, or architecture
• - Strong AI/ML architecture and cloud platform knowledge
• - Clinical development experience (trial ops, data management, safety) preferred
• - Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management; product-centric value realization

Optional Differentiators:

Compensation/Benefits (as stated): Salary range $195,670–$253,220; may include discretionary bonus/long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
