Related is seeking an Associate, Workforce Intelligence in New York to build metrics, governed datasets, data pipelines, and reporting products that form the foundation of this capability across the firm. This is a hands-on role combining analytics and data development with business insight.

This position reports to the Director, HR Systems & Workforce Intelligence and offers a hybrid work arrangement based in our New York office.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in workforce analytics, BI, or related analytics roles.
  • Experience building dashboards and executive-ready reporting with Power BI/Tableau.
  • Proficiency with SQL and data extraction, transformation, modeling, and validation.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong analytical judgment with complex data.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled tools across analytics workflows with privacy considerations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; translating findings for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain standardized workforce metrics (headcount, mobility, attrition, etc.).
  • Contribute to data definitions, governance standards, and cross-HR alignment.
  • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines with data-quality controls.
  • Ensure data integrity across HR systems through collaboration.
  • Frame questions, test hypotheses, and translate analysis into options for stakeholders.
  • Extract, shape, and analyze data using SQL and BI tools; present findings clearly.
  • Build and monitor repeatable data pipelines and curated datasets (Azure/DW evolving).
  • Develop user-facing workforce reporting via Power BI and Azure Web Apps.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools for pipeline development with human review and privacy controls.

Responsibilities

At Related, we are building a more modern, integrated, and decision-ready HR function - one where workforce data is trusted, accessible, and actively used to guide leadership decisions. The Associate, Workforce Intelligence will help build the metrics, governed datasets, data pipelines, and reporting products that form the foundation of this capability across the firm. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong analytics and data-development skills with business curiosity and commercial awareness - someone who wants to understand not just what the data says, but why it matters in the context of business performance. This position will report to the Director, HR Systems & Workforce Intelligence. This is a hybrid position based in our New York office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Help define and maintain standardized workforce metrics (e.g., headcount, movement, attrition, internal mobility, cost per hire, etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of data definitions, governance standards, and documentation to ensure clarity and alignment across HR platforms
  • Design and maintain clean, repeatable datasets and scalable workflows, including data-quality controls, reconciliations, and lineage, to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
  • Partner closely with HR Systems and Operations peers to ensure data integrity, alignment across systems, and clear definitions
  • Support the Director, HR Systems & Workforce Intelligence in framing questions, testing hypotheses, and translating analysis into clear decision options for key stakeholders
  • Extract, shape, and analyze data using SQL, BI tooling, advanced Excel, and/or modern analytics approaches
  • Present findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders, adapting depth based on audience
  • Build, maintain, and monitor repeatable workforce data pipelines and curated datasets using SQL and, as the environment evolves, Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  • Develop and maintain user-facing workforce reporting and insight solutions through a user-facing interaction layer, including Power BI and Azure Web Apps.
  • Leverage approved AI-enabled tools to assist with pipeline development, data transformation and validation, visualization, analysis, documentation, and the delivery of stakeholder-ready insights, while maintaining appropriate human review, data privacy, and quality controls
Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Anticipated base salary range: $100,000 - $125,000

Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including, but not limited to, the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in workforce analytics, people analytics, business intelligence (BI), or a closely related analytics role
  • Experience building dashboards and executive-ready reporting using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Proficiency with SQL and experience extracting, transforming, modeling, and validating complex data
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical judgment and comfort working with complex, imperfect data
  • Experience applying AI-enabled tools responsibly across analytics, data-development, visualization, and/or insight-delivery workflows Sound judgment when handling confidential workforce data and applying privacy, security, governance, and access requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to translate analytical findings clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating with teammates effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with UKG Pro, iCIMS, Cornerstone, Culture Amp, or equivalent HR SaaS solutions
  • Exposure to workforce planning, headcount modeling, or FP&A adjacent analysis
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or comparable cloud data-engineering and analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Google BigQuery)
  • Experience developing or supporting interactive analytics products using Power BI, Azure Web Apps, or comparable reporting and application-layer technologies
  • Statistical modeling or forecasting experience (e.g., regression, attrition modeling, scenario modeling)
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity about how workforce decisions impact business performance
