What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop experience in placing and processing business, including preparing submission information and managing policy documentation
- Analyze submissions and make decisions based on individual risk characteristics for less complex risks
- Utilize underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance with authority levels and state regulations
- Handle the new and renewal placement process, including rating and negotiating with carriers
- Serve as a backup contact for quoting and online binding service issues

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-oriented solutions or service
- Experience using PC software applications such as Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, and Excel
- Background in property/casualty sales, underwriting, or complex policy processing for specialty personal lines products
- Basic knowledge of underwriting processing and servicing for excess/surplus coverages
- Familiarity with brokerage insurance carrier placement processes and services
