Job Responsibilities:Maintain a high level of safety and ensure that the team maintains a safety-first culturePerform weld build up on crusher parts using manual, semi-automatic and mechanized welding processesUtilize welding processes such as FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAWUse positioners and manipulators to maneuver large workpieces to be weldedPerform cutting operations using oxyacetylene, oxyfuel, exothermic, carbon air arc, plasma cutters, grinders and a CNC burn table.Excavate cracks, use dye penetrant, bevel and fill crack repair in steelsUse hydraulic rams to push and pull pieces in and out of placeEnsure completion of quality control documentationOperate rosebuds, torches and induction rope to preheat pieces to desired welding temperaturesWeld on cast iron, manganese, and Cu-AL dissimilarInterpret and understand 2D blueprints, 3D models and weld symbols to complete various fabrication requirementsUse tooling such as an ironworker, horizontal and vertical bandsaws, magnetic drills, come-a-longs, chain-hoists, grinders, hammers and wedges to accomplish assigned tasksComplete task training on all overhead cranes, forklifts, sweepers, manlift, scissor lifts, welders and torches within 90 days of hireUse 5S methodology in conjunction with the floor sweeper to maintain a clean and safe workplaceExtend total life expectancy of assets by learning PM procedures for all equipment utilized and remanufactured by the welding groupReport damaged tools and tag out of service so that they can be replacedDevelop operational equipment checks to catch failures before they ariseRequirements:HS Diploma or GED requiredMust be a self-motivated, strong work ethic individual that is willing to work with minimal supervision and at high level of accountability to operational requirementsA strong mechanical backgroundAbility to correctly measure parts with tape measures, pi tapes and straight edges are necessary to perform the job functionsBasic computer skills with the ability to report and transfer informationAbility to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, cold and wind, sometimes rain, will be requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. will be required
