Job summary

Hightower, a Chicago-based wealth management firm with advisors across the U.S., seeks an Associate Wealth Advisor in Houston to support senior advisors and deliver personalized wealth management services. You will gain hands-on experience in financial planning, investment analysis, and client relationship development while collaborating with custodians and professionals to serve high‑net‑worth clients.

2+ years in wealth management preferred; CFP progress encouraged; in-office four days a week,

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, or financial services
  • CFP designation completed, in progress, or willingness to pursue
  • FINRA Series 7 & 66 license or ability to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lead Wealth Advisors in managing client relationships and delivering wealth management services
  • Prepare financial plans, retirement projections, cash flow analyses, and estate summaries
  • Participate in client meetings by preparing agendas, gathering documentation, taking notes, and following up items
  • Analyze client financial data and provide recommendations to support investment, retirement, tax, and estate planning strategies
  • Monitor client portfolios and assist with investment reviews, rebalancing, and implementation of advisor recommendations
  • Collaborate with custodians, attorneys, accountants, and other professional partners to facilitate client needs
  • Respond to client inquiries and service requests
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory and firm requirements
  • Support business development through meeting preparation, materials, and follow up
  • Stay current on financial planning concepts and industry developments

We believe exceptional wealth management starts with meaningful relationships. As an Associate Wealth Advisor, you will work closely with experienced advisors to support high-net-worth individuals, families, executives, business owners, and other clients in achieving their financial goals.

In this role, you will gain hands‑on experience in financial planning, investment management, client relationship development, and wealth management strategy. You will collaborate with advisors and client service professionals to deliver a personalized client experience while developing the skills needed to advance into a Wealth Advisor role.

What You’ll Do

The Associate Wealth Advisor supports advisors and clients by helping provide personalized wealth management solutions and ensuring a high‑quality client experience. You will combine financial planning, investment analysis, relationship management, and operational support.

  • Assist Lead Wealth Advisors in managing client relationships and delivering comprehensive wealth management services
  • Prepare financial plans, retirement projections, cash flow analyses, and estate planning summaries using firm approved planning software
  • Participate in client meetings by preparing agendas, gathering documentation, taking notes, and assisting with follow up items
  • Analyze client financial data and provide recommendations to support investment, retirement, tax, and estate planning strategies
  • Monitor client portfolios and assist with investment reviews, rebalancing, and implementation of advisor recommendations
  • Collaborate with custodians, attorneys, accountants, and other professional partners to facilitate client needs
  • Respond to client inquiries and service requests
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory and firm requirements
  • Support business development efforts through prospect meeting preparation, presentation materials, and follow up activities
  • Stay current on financial planning concepts, investment strategies, and industry developments
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, or financial services
  • CFP designation completed, in progress, or willingness to pursue
  • Working knowledge of financial planning concepts, investment management principles, and retirement planning strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a client service mindset
  • Experience with financial planning and CRM software such as eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, Salesforce, or similar platforms
  • FINRA Series 7& 66 license or ability to obtain within 6 months
