Summary

JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for completing various tasks related to warehouse operations, including but not limited to processing orders, locating merchandise, packaging products for shipment, kitting, product labeling, unloading trucks, or other projects.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

The list below is intended to capture the most essential duties and responsibilities of the job. The list is not exhaustive, and other duties may be assigned at any time.

  • Picks products based on orders, using item numbers, bin locations, and quantities.
  • Assembles, labels, and packs orders for shipping as needed.
  • Completes orders and shipping documentation accurately.
  • Operates handheld devices such as scanners.
  • Assists with inventory management by keeping an accurate count of products pulled and products put back into stock.
  • Inspects packaging for damage.
  • Unloads trucks; counts inbound product.
  • Assists with kitting, labeling or other projects.
  • Achieves productivity goals and KPIs.
  • Complies with all operational processes within work area.
  • Follow established processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Follows all safety processes and guidelines; reports concerns to management.
  • May be required to flex between various operational roles throughout the warehouse.

SCOPE

  • No supervisory or managerial responsibility.
  • Normal responsibilities associated with monitoring and reporting everyday expenses.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • Experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center is preferred, but not required
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP software is preferred, but not required

Knowledge, Skills, And Capabilits

  • General knowledge of proper packaging and shipping protocol is preferred, but not.

  • Ability to read, understand, and execute the information in standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to meet productivity standards, complete work in a timely manner, and work quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Generally, the work environment is that of a manufacturing plant, specifically one that manufactures food products.
  • May be required to work weekends, nights, or holidays as a regular part of the job.

  • Continuously required to stand or walk.
  • Frequently required to walk or move from place to place
  • Continuously required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, or bend
  • Continuously required to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, or moving items
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Frequently work near machinery with moving parts
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The incumbent must
    • Occasionally lift and /or move more than 20 pounds.
    • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
    • Occasionally lift and /or move more than 55 pounds with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include:
    • Close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Travel is not required.

  • Due to safety hazards certain items as defined by OSHA may be prohibited in certain areas.
