Job summary

Thistle Health Inc. seeks a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, inventory, shipping, and internal material movement in our NJ facility.

You will perform FIFO storage, pull materials for production, weigh and label items, document movements, and help maintain accuracy with QA and safety standards. Requires 2+ years of warehouse receiving experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and food-handling certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of warehouse receiving experience preferred in high-volume food production.
• State-designated Food Handlers Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work in cold environments and perform physically demanding tasks (lift up to 50 lbs).
• Familiarity with GMP manufacturing practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, and store materials; maintain up-to-date stock records.
• Conduct weekly inventory and ensure FIFO rotation for perishables.
• Pull and prepare materials for production; weigh, label, and package items for production.
• Verify product quality on receipt; document waste and notify management of issues.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and stage materials.
• Collaborate with Procurement and QA to resolve supply chain issues and shortages.

This role is responsible for delivering products to various departments within the facility, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting the production process with efficiency and precision.How You’ll Make a DifferenceReceive, organize, and store materials accurately, maintaining up-to-date records of movements and stock levels. Conduct weekly inventory assessments and ensure FIFO rotation for perishables.Pull and prepare materials for production, monitor ingredient use, pre-batch items, and weigh, label, and package products with complete accuracy.Verify product quality upon receipt, document food waste, and notify management of quality concerns. Collaborate with Quality Assurance and management to address issues promptly.Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move and stage materials.Communicate with vendors to manage pickups, returns, and order shortages. Collaborate with Procurement and leadership to resolve supply chain challenges.Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations during all inventory activities.Partner with supervisors and managers to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot inventory issues and support operational needs.Perform other duties as assigned in the plant.Who You AreA high school diploma or equivalent is required, as is a minimum of 2+ years of warehouse receiving experience, preferably in a high-volume food production environment.Ability to work in cold environments, including freezers, and perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs for extended periods.Proficient in using tools such as scales, box cutters, and hand tools. Familiarity with food product materials and GMP manufacturing practices is preferred.Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
