Humana is executing a 3-5 year, $8+ billion global transformation to a Global Business Services (GBS) model. We are seeking an Executive Transition Leader to drive seamless transitions of business functions into GBS, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiencies, and business continuity. As a key leader in this transformation, the Executive Transition Leader will develop and execute transition strategies, engage with C-suite stakeholders, and oversee the structured integration of business operations into the GBS framework. This role is responsible for managing complex, large-scale transitions while minimizing disruption and maximizing value realization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and execute the GBS transition strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide transformation objectives.
  • Lead and oversee multiple concurrent transitions, managing a multi-billion-dollar budget and global resources.
  • Develop and implement a structured transition framework, ensuring disciplined execution, compliance, and risk management.
  • Establish and manage a governance model for tracking KPIs, financial performance, and transition milestones.
  • Ensure all M&A integrations, outsourcing transitions, and technology implementations align with the broader transformation agenda and are woven into the GBS transition strategy.
Enterprise-Wide Transition Execution
  • Architect and drive transition methodologies, leading the full transition lifecycle from planning to post-implementation stabilization.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient transitions.
  • Oversee knowledge transfer, work-shadowing, and operational handoffs between business units and GBS.
  • Collaborate with finance, IT, HR, and business unit leaders to ensure seamless operational and cultural integration.
  • Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across transitioning functions.
Stakeholder & Change Management
  • Serve as the primary executive liaison for all transition activities, working closely with C-suite executives, board members, and senior leaders across all LOBs.
  • Lead enterprise-wide change management efforts, including communication strategies, training programs, and stakeholder engagement initiatives to ensure seamless transition.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and adoption.
  • Navigate complex organizational dynamics, proactively identifying and resolving challenges that may impact transition success.
Operational Excellence & Performance Optimization
  • Monitor and track transition KPIs and success metrics, ensuring alignment with financial goals and operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee quality assurance and risk mitigation, ensuring that transitions meet business and compliance standards.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational resilience, leveraging best-in-class transition methodologies.
  • Align digital transformation initiatives, such as AI-driven process optimization and automation, with transition objectives.

This is a rare opportunity to architect and lead one of the largest transformation programs in the industry. As the Executive Transition Leader, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping a Fortune 50 company’s GBS strategy, delivering unparalleled business impact and operational excellence. If you are a visionary executive with a proven track record of leading high-stakes, complex transitions, we invite you to be part of this historic transformation.
