Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking an Associate Vice President of Transportation Design for our Transportation group in Nashville. You will lead transportation design projects, mentor staff, and oversee budgets and client relations.

The role requires 15+ years in transportation design, a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and a Tennessee PE license or reciprocity. Strong leadership and multi-project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' experience in the Transportation Design field.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Tennessee PE license or reciprocity.
• Experience leading and directing individuals or a team.
• Understanding of roadway design guidance from AASHTO.
• Experience with TDOT guidelines, procedures, plan preparation, and local programs projects.
• Understanding of MicroStation/Geopak and Open Roads Designer.
• Significant experience in development of roadway plans and specifications.
• Experience and relationships with TDOT, local municipalities, and permitting agencies.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with billing and client invoicing.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Dependable, adaptable, flexible, and deadline-driven.
