The Associate Vice President – Quality Strategy, Digital, and Transformation is responsible for facilitating the development of the strategy for the Global Quality organization, overseeing an integrated global quality transformation agenda with particular emphasis on digital innovation, and providing project and change management capability and capacity for key transformation efforts across the quality function. This role approves notification to management for their areas of responsibility.

The Associate Vice President – Quality Strategy, Digital, and Transformation develops an monitors the integrated change agenda for quality across the enterprise to ensure all functions and leaders are driving toward a consistent vision. This leader establishes appropriate governance processes, data management and analytics and drives the engagement with governance bodies to ensure the transformation agenda stays on track and meets timelines. This role deploys project management resources to enable successful delivery of the transformation agenda and operational excellence, ensuring capability development across the Quality enterprise.

This role helps set direction for quality through participation on the Global Quality Lead Team,Quality Management Committee and Global Manufacturing Quality Lead Team.

Key Objectives and Deliverables

The Associate Vice President – Quality Strategy, Digital, and Transformation has responsibility to:

  • Coach, develop, and mentor individuals in the organization to deliver on the quality transformation agenda.
  • Own the consolidated transformation project plans and ensure adherence against defined timelines and stage gates
  • Development of data dashboards, tools and data. Analytics to drive key decisions and monitor overall Global Quality performance.
  • Provide people and technical leadership for the quality strategy and transformation; set direction and vision.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in all operations.
  • Develop and monitor digital roadmap for Quality and ensure appropriate integrations and project management across Manufacturing and LRL.
  • Work with key stakeholders to help achieve quality and corporate goals in a compliant manner.
  • Build strong relationships with external regulators globally, particularly in the area of digital innovation.
  • Monitor external regulatory and industry direction for incorporation into quality strategies.

Basic Qualifications

Education

Degree in chemistry, microbiology, pharmacy, or physical or biological sciences, engineering, or other technical areas of study.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry.
  • 3+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide change.

Additional Preferences

Education

Advanced degree in business or technical discipline

Experience

  • 5+ years experience leading global capabilities, strategy, and transformation related work.
  • 3+ years experience in Quality leadership across GXP operations.
  • Project management or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or similar preferred

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$234,000 - $343,200

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
