Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize food production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Lead and manage engineering projects, including new installations, upgrades, and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure all processes comply with food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production equipment and processes.
- Train staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices to ensure consistent and safe operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and project plans.
- Develop and manage strategic capital plans to support long-term growth and sustainability, including identifying investment opportunities, budgeting, and alignment with corporate goals.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management skills, proficiency in CAD software, and knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSMA).
- Familiarity with automation and control systems, as well as experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Desired Skills:
- Experience with packaging and preservation technologies.
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics in the food industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Notes:
- This role will be based out of either Chicago, Seattle, or Sussex WI and report to our Chief Operating Officer.
- Travel within North America is expected, primarily to Sussex WI and Blaine WA.
- This role offers a USD salary between $195,000 - $225,000 with a 30% bonus.
