An established animal hospital inJericho, NY is seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their dynamic and compassionate team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian or a recent graduate looking to make a meaningful impact in animal care.
Role Overview:
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing top-tier medical care to companion animals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent veterinary care and client service, while also working collaboratively with the clinic team. This position offers the opportunity to perform a wide variety of duties in a fast-paced environment, including diagnostic work, surgery, and preventative care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests on animals to assess their health.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and a range of medical conditions in companion animals.
  • Administer preventive care, such as vaccinations, parasite control, and wellness exams.
  • Perform surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring with a focus on patient safety.
  • Provide clear communication with clients, educating them about their pet’s health and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure smooth clinic operations.
Qualifications:
  • DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New York.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience as a veterinarian, although new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills.
