Atlas Consultancy Group is partnering with a small-animal hospital in Peoria, IL, to hire an Associate Veterinarian for high-volume spay/neuter surgery on a mobile unit serving shelter animals. The role also includes shelter medicine duties and a structured mentorship program.

The schedule is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with no emergency or on-call responsibilities, allowing four free days. A meaningful career focused on animal welfare awaits.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree
• Illinois veterinary license or eligible to obtain one
• Experience in high-volume surgery and shelter medicine or strong surgical foundation
• Organized and efficient in a surgical setting with patient safety as priority
• Confident making independent clinical decisions on shelter cases
• Works well alongside hospital and shelter staff
• Motivated by community medicine and animal welfare

Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume canine and feline spays and neuters on a mobile unit
• Evaluate and treat sick or injured shelter animals
• Three-day workweek with set hours, no on-call emergencies
• Mentored growth to develop surgical skills
