VCA Santa Margarita Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced F/T Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.

Our hospital has been serving the community for nearly 35 years! We are a full-service animal hospital whose mission is to provide the highest standard of veterinary care pets. We provide friendly, informative, and supportive services for you and your pet. We offer preventative medicine, surgical services and dental care services. We are equipped with a full in house laboratory, ultrasound, digital x-rays, surgical laser, cold laser therapy, fully equipped dental suite, fully equipped surgical suite, well stocked in house pharmacy and pet food. We also have a top-notch boarding facility. Our hospital is beautiful with stunning 40 ft high ceilings and lots of natural light everywhere. We pride ourselves in having a very healthy and thriving culture with excellent caring professionals to work with.

Our hospital is AAHA-accredited, we take our standards of medicine very seriously. We are also Fear Free certified to make sure the top quality medicine and care are only matched by the tender loving treatment we provide for all pets that come through our doors.

We are located in one of the oldest cities of South Orange County. Rancho Santa Margarita, or RSM as it is known by the locals, is a tiny community nestled in the hill country around the Santa Ana Mountains. RSM is primarily a hiking town. Wherever you are in the town you’ll have spectacular views of the Saddleback Mountains beyond.

Over 80 campsites are located around this valley, which is a popular place to set up BBQs and picnics. Horse rentals are common and you will find many facilities for riders. Scouts also come here to learn survival skills.

Although RSM is nestled away from beach country, it still only takes 20 minutes by car to get to the coast. The most famous beach around here is Laguna Beach, which is always buzzing and sits in a grand arch of surf-shops, cafes, and artsy galleries.

RSM has amazing restaurants, luxurious movie theaters, excellent margaritas and cocktails, many coffee shops and different local snack and food places that makes this place the best place to work.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $64,480 to $180,000. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
