Job description

Associate Veterinarian Needed in DC Area!

Peaceful Passage is a four-doctor at-home euthanasia veterinary practice serving the Baltimore, MD, Frederick, MD & Washington D.C. area, as well as surrounding counties. If you are looking for a gratifying and rewarding way to leave general practice, this may be the place for you.

About Us:

Peaceful Passage is a service providing gentle, dignified, at home euthanasia for your pet. This service eliminates the stress, pain, and discomfort of traveling to your veterinary office, while allowing your beloved pet to leave the world in a most peaceful way. Comforting clients and aiding in the most peaceful passing possible are our main objectives. Our wonderful clients truly appreciate what we do as we gently guide them through their pets’ end of life transition.

As the veterinarian on duty, you would visit a client’s home, and walk them through the process as you gently help their pet pass. We also perform hospice and end of life consultations as well if you enjoy that.

We will give you all the training you need to feel confident in your new role, and every day you can leave each visit feeling good about yourself and what you do to help others! We are a supportive team of compassionate doctors with the same goals- personal well-being, a nice salary, and a healthy work environment! We also offer a generous benefits package including:

  • Signing bonus and/or relocation assistance
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with shared premiums
  • Practice-sponsored life insurance
  • 401(k) eligibility with employer match
  • Annual continuing education stipend
  • Paid time-off for personal use and to attend CE
  • In-house development programs for new graduates, experienced Associates, and Medical Directors
  • Sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with wellness initiatives
  • Paid AVMA PLIT policy coverage
  • Reimbursement of all licensure and DEA fees
  • Reimbursement of professional membership dues
  • Personal pet discounts

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a compassionate doctor with excellent communication skills and bedside manner, who can make, while brief, an important connection with the client and pet the top priority. An SUV, hatchback or minivan is required, and will be provided for full-time employees. You must also be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
