Associate veterinarian needed for our busy, growing 7-doctor small animal practice. We are privately owned and operated. Our loyal clients expect a compassionate and comfortable experience, matched with veterinarians who have superior communication skills. We enjoy convenient access to local specialists and emergency care, which helps us provide advanced care opportunities and good case outcomes.
Our dedicated team includes a well-rounded group of RVTs, CSRs, and assistants, managed by a dedicated practice manager who all strive for truly stellar customer service. We have a rotating team of veterinary cardiologists, radiologists, and surgeons who assist us on cases.
We are located in Folsom, California, where the American River feeds Folsom Lake, and we look up to the Sierra Foothills with endless outdoor opportunities. We are only 90 minutes from the Bay Area and San Francisco. It’s a great place to raise a family with good schools, safe parks, and loads of recreational opportunities.
Our 8,000 sq.ft. facility includes 10 exam rooms, ultrasound, digital XR, digital dental XR, full in-house IDEXX lab, CO2 laser, electrocautery, tonometry, diamond burr, and more.
Our ideal associate is a team player, thrives in a fast-paced environment, can perform routine surgeries and dental procedures, is willing to learn advanced surgical techniques, and desires to provide superior medical management. A special interest in brachycephalics is a plus.
We aim for a good work-life balance with 4 days per week, totaling 32 scheduled hours. Starting salary is $125,000, with potential to earn over $180,000 with 20% production, with no negative accrual.
Small animal veterinarian with 2-3 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered if very confident. You should hold a California veterinary license in good standing. We value a compassionate, inclusive team environment that collaborates on cases and supports each other. You should possess excellent medical and surgical skills and a desire to improve and refine those skills to provide excellent patient care and client communication.
