Associate Veterinarian – Integrative Small Animal Practice
Looking for a veterinary home where curiosity is encouraged?
Doylestown Veterinary Hospital is an independently owned, veterinarian-run and managed small animal practice in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania. We are looking for an associate veterinarian who is excited about thoughtful, individualized medicine and working in a practice where conventional and integrative approaches truly coexist.
Our doctors bring different strengths to the practice, including conventional medicine and surgery, acupuncture, homeopathy, nutrition, herbal medicine and chiropractic care. We don't expect our next veterinarian to practice all of these modalities—we value doctors with different areas of expertise.
We would love to find someone already trained in an integrative modality such as acupuncture, chiropractic, herbal medicine, homeopathy, rehabilitation or nutrition. Just as important, however, are intellectual curiosity and a genuine desire to continue learning.
This is a practice for a veterinarian who enjoys asking, "What else can we do for this patient?"
We are independently owned and intend to stay that way. Decisions about medicine and the direction of the hospital are made by practicing veterinarians. Our goal is to give our doctors the autonomy, resources and support to practice excellent medicine while continuing to develop their individual clinical interests.
Our schedules are designed to allow time to practice thoughtful medicine without feeling rushed. A typical eight-hour shift includes approximately six hours of patient contact time, with 30-minute appointments as our standard, and the remaining time available for records, callbacks, reviewing results and case management.
We offer competitive production-based compensation, full benefits, a 401(k) with employer match, flexible scheduling, generous CE allowance and CE time, and a genuine investment in professional development. We support additional training in dentistry, nutrition, acupuncture, integrative medicine or another clinical interest you want to develop.
Clinical experience is preferred, but exceptional newer graduates will be considered. Most important is finding a kind, collaborative, clinically thoughtful veterinarian who enjoys learning and wants to grow.
Full-time or part-time candidates will be considered, including three- or four-day workweeks.
If you have wished for a practice where excellent conventional medicine and a broader view of health can exist under the same roof, we'd love to talk.
