Life in Portland

Did someone say Lobstah? Because if you love this delectable dish, you can find some in just about every corner of town! But, while Portland might be famous for its lobster, there is SO MUCH more to do here than nosh on exquisite seafood. Watch boats sail in and out of the harbor, delight in snow that is piled above your head in the heart of Winter, and swim in lakes, rivers, and the Atlantic Ocean in Maine’s perfectly warm Summers. Explore The Old Port on the waterfront that converted historic warehouses into amazing restaurants, local craft breweries, and shops, or hike, bike, walk, and run on one of the many hills and mountains surrounding the city. Whether you’re into ice hockey, ice fishing, white water rafting, or lazily relaxing on the beach, life is simply pleasant in and around Portland. Cheer on baseball, basketball, and hockey teams year-round, take a day trip into Canada, go on a lighthouse tour, or take a boat out to sea for whale watching! Maine is stunning and full of adventures year-round that you’ll never get tired of going on.
