Job summary

Molalla River Veterinary Center in Molalla, Oregon, seeks an associate veterinarian for our growing, privately owned small-animal practice. We value integrative, individualized care, low-stress handling, and strong client communication.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Current Oregon veterinary license or ability to obtain licensure.
• DEA registration, or ability to obtain as required for the position.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care and low-stress handling.
• Comfortable practicing collaboratively within a spectrum-of-care model.
• Open-minded and interested in an integrative, individualized approach to medicine.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of small-animal clinical practice, with reasonable accommodations as appropriate.
• Commitment to continued learning and professional growth.
• General practice experience is preferred but not required; interest in surgery, dentistry, pain management, rehabilitation, nutrition, ultrasound welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care across small-animal cases, including preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
• Collaborate with local specialists and other veterinary professionals when advanced expertise is needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis.
• Embrace a spectrum-of-care philosophy and low-stress handling in daily practice.
• Contribute to a flexible, no-weekend schedule with a 3–4 day workweek.
