At PetVet Care Centers, we are looking for a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our team in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high‑quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills for building lasting relationships with clients. You will work alongside experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, and will collaborate closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

Position Overview

The Animal Medical Center of Fort Oglethorpe has recently completed a major renovation, creating an updated and welcoming environment for pets and their owners. The new features await a clinician ready to make the space their own.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
  • Communicate and educate clients about their pets’ health
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and surgeries
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Prescribe medications and adhere to controlled substance protocols
  • Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
  • Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
  • Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge
  • Monitor cases and attend daily rounds to assure high standards
  • Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications (Required)
  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
  • Current State Veterinary License
  • DEA registration obtained and maintained
