If you're looking for a privately owned hospital where you'll be genuinely supported, given clinical freedom, and surrounded by an experienced, long-standing team, this could be exactly what you've been searching for.
We're working with a thriving, multi-doctor small animal hospital in Washington, North Carolina that has been serving its community for almost 50 years. Established in 1978 and now led by two dedicated veterinarian owners, this busy general practice and urgent care hospital has built an exceptional reputation for compassionate, high-quality medicine while maintaining a genuinely family-oriented culture. Due to continued growth, they are looking to welcome another Associate Veterinarian to the team.
Operating from a modern 9,000 sq. ft. purpose-built facility completed in 2020, you'll have access to eight exam rooms, two surgical suites, a dedicated dental suite, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, pharmacy, spacious doctor offices, and plans to continue investing in new equipment as the hospital progresses towards AAHA accreditation.
You'll join an experienced team of doctors with a diverse range of interests including dentistry, ultrasound and exotic medicine, alongside an outstanding support team with an impressive 4:1 support staff ratio. The practice has exceptional staff retention, with several team members having remained with the hospital for over 20 years, creating a welcoming and collaborative environment where everyone enjoys working together. New graduates are encouraged to apply, with structured mentorship available from experienced veterinarians who are passionate about developing the next generation.
The role offers genuine flexibility with several scheduling options available, whether you prefer traditional daytime hours or longer shifts with additional days off. Surgery can be tailored to your interests, making this an excellent opportunity for veterinarians who either enjoy surgery or prefer consulting. With blocked lunch breaks, dedicated callback time, and strong technician support, you'll have the time and resources needed to practice excellent medicine.
