Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian / Surgeon to join a busy, established small-animal veterinary practice in Southern California.

This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys a fast-paced clinical environment, performing surgery, client communication, and managing a diverse caseload. The practice has an established client base with strong demand for both medical and surgical services.

Candidates must have prior hands‑on surgical experience. Surgical training is not provided for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to small-animal patients.
  • Perform routine wellness examinations, diagnostics, internal medicine, and urgent care.
  • Independently perform surgical procedures within the veterinarian's area of experience and competency.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate recommendations clearly to pet owners.
  • Manage a diverse and active patient caseload.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Provide client education and appropriate post-operative follow-up care.
Qualifications
  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
  • Active or eligible veterinary license in California.
  • Previous small-animal veterinary experience required.
