Introduction

Our client is a state-of-the-art AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their team as their third Associate Veterinarian near Santa Clarita, CA. Caring for dogs, cats, and some exotic pets, this opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian looking to work in a modern hospital with advanced technology and a diverse caseload.

Role Description and Responsibilities

The Associate Veterinarian is responsible for delivering high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to companion animals while building strong relationships with clients through clear communication and education. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, performing routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry where applicable, managing medical records accurately, and collaborating with the wider veterinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient care. The Associate Veterinarian will also promote preventative healthcare, maintain compliance with hospital protocols, and contribute to a positive, supportive, and team-oriented working environment. This opportunity is open to experienced veterinarians only.

Practice Details

This state-of-the-art practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology to support high-quality companion animal medicine. Equipment includes endoscopy, a CO laser, hyperbaric chamber, stem cell therapy, a rehabilitation room with a pool and underwater treadmill, digital dental radiography, a comprehensive in-house laboratory, digital radiography (X-ray), ultrasound, CT imaging, advanced anesthesia monitoring equipment, surgical lasers, and intensive care capabilities. These resources enable veterinarians to efficiently diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions while supporting preventative care, dentistry, emergency medicine, and complex surgical procedures. The purpose-designed facility features dedicated examination rooms, a fully equipped treatment area, surgical suites, an in-house laboratory, advanced diagnostic imaging, intensive care and hospitalization areas, an in-house pharmacy, and comfortable patient care spaces, allowing veterinarians to manage a broad range of wellness, medical, emergency, and surgical cases in an efficient clinical setting. The practice is AAHA accredited. A comprehensive range of services is provided for dogs and cats, offering a varied companion animal caseload. These include wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention and control, dentistry, spays and neuters, soft tissue surgery, emergency and urgent care, in-house diagnostics, CT imaging, ultrasound, digital radiography, physical rehabilitation, laser therapy, nutritional counselling, prescription diets, intensive care, end-of-life care, and the ongoing management of acute and chronic medical conditions. An in-house pharmacy and online pharmacy further support convenient continuation of care for clients.

Team

The hospital currently has two DVMs and is seeking a third Associate Veterinarian to join the team. The practice is supported by a collaborative team of veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and client care professionals who work together to provide high-quality companion animal care with a strong focus on compassionate service and client education.

Candidate Requirements
  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
The Package

Salary up to $195,000 (Annual)

  • $175k-$195k base salary + production
