Our client is seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join an established veterinary practice in Richmond, Virginia.

The Associate Veterinarian Role:


As an Associate Veterinarian in Richmond, VA, you will provide comprehensive medical, preventative and wellness care to dogs and cats.

This position would suit an experienced veterinarian or a recent veterinary graduate seeking structured mentorship and career development.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide comprehensive small animal veterinary care for dogs and cats.

  • Conduct physical examinations and develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans.

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of medical conditions.

  • Provide preventative healthcare, wellness consultations and ongoing patient care.

  • Perform routine surgical and dental procedures appropriate to your experience and training.

  • Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment recommendations and preventative healthcare options to pet owners.

  • Educate clients on nutrition, preventative medicine, behaviour and treatment plans.

  • Maintain accurate and thorough veterinary medical records.

  • Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, reception staff and other veterinarians.

  • Provide compassionate, patient-focused care while maintaining a high standard of client service.

  • Participate in continuing veterinary education and keep up to date with developments in veterinary medicine.

  • Contribute to a supportive, professional and respectful veterinary practice environment.

Requirements:
