Orangeville Animal Health is a thriving mixed animal clinic nestled in the picturesque hills of northern Illinois, bordering Wisconsin. Our clinic is approximately one hour from Madison, WI; 45 minutes from Rockford, IL; and one hour from Dubuque, IA. Our rural setting amidst rolling hills offers a tranquil environment for both work and leisure. We prioritize exceptional patient care, client connections, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The successful candidate will share equally in rotating on-call duties for nights, weekends, and holidays, with scheduled time off to compensate. Our services encompass basic medical and surgical options for both small and large animals and a focus on herd health management and consultation services for our large animal clients. We provide after-hours emergency care for our large animal patients only.
Salary is negotiable and commensurate with skill level, years of practice, and individual interests.

Orangeville Animal Health boasts a well-established mixed animal clinic with over 50 years of service to the community. Our small animal clinic, built in 2008, is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment tools including CR digital X-ray, IDEXX blood analyzer and urinalysis machine, gas anesthesia, ultrasound, and anesthesia monitoring. For large animal care, our clinic features indoor and portable chute systems for cattle, multiple ultrasounds, electro ejaculator, and more. Our team includes two partner veterinarians and six support staff members, including a licensed veterinary technician (LVT). Many of our staff have longstanding ties to the practice and the local community.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate mixed animal veterinarian to join our team. While the position ideally encompasses 70% small animal and 30% large animal work, we are open to negotiation based on the candidate's skill set, experience, and availability. Applicants must hold DVM licenses in both Illinois and Wisconsin, as well as DEA and controlled substance licenses. We seek a veterinarian with a solid foundation in veterinary medicine and a willingness to continue learning and growing. Mentorship opportunities are available, and we are open to tailoring the position to accommodate the candidate's specific interests.
