A leading animal hospital in Lacey, WA is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to provide comprehensive care for pets and companion animals. The role includes performing surgeries, examinations, and educating clients on preventative care. Associate Veterinarian for Lacey WA - multiple positions open - to provide comprehensive veterinary medical services for pets & companion animals; perform physical examinations & diagnostic, medical, surgical and dental procedures; communicate diagnoses & physical examination findings to clients; prepare treatment plans; educate clients on preventative healthcare; maintain client & patient records; attend continuing education sessions; stay current on new developments in veterinary medicine.
Requires Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and/or Veterinary Science degree & valid WA Veterinarian License. Must also have 10 yrs experience performing physical examinations of companion animals; performing soft tissue surgeries on companion animals, including ovariohysterectomy, castration, gastropexy, splenectomy, cystotomy, enterotomy, mass removals, & enucleation, using cautery; performing prophylactic dentistry & surgical dental extractions for companion animals; communicating diagnoses & treatment plans to clients; using veterinary computer software, including ezyVet, to enter & maintain client and patient records; and mentoring & guiding junior team members. Up to 5% travel within WA req’d. The pay range for this role is $125,258.00 to $155,000.00. The offered salary may vary within this range based on an applicant’s location, skills & prior experience and other relevant factors.
