Job description

Associate Veterinarian for Lacey WA - multiple positions open - to provide comprehensive veterinary medical services for pets & companion animals; perform physical examinations & diagnostic, medical, surgical and dental procedures; communicate diagnoses & physical examination findings to clients; prepare treatment plans; educate clients on preventative healthcare; maintain client & patient records; attend continuing education sessions; stay current on new developments in veterinary medicine.

Requires Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and/or Veterinary Science degree & valid WA Veterinarian License. Must also have 10 yrs experience performing physical examinations of companion animals; performing soft tissue surgeries on companion animals, including ovariohysterectomy, castration, gastropexy, splenectomy, cystotomy, enterotomy, mass removals, & enucleation, using cautery; performing prophylactic dentistry & surgical dental extractions for companion animals; communicating diagnoses & treatment plans to clients; using veterinary computer software, including ezyVet, to enter & maintain client and patient records; and mentoring & guiding junior team members. Up to 5% travel within WA req’d. The pay range for this role is $125,258.00 to $155,000.00. The offered salary may vary within this range based on an applicant’s location, skills & prior experience and other relevant factors.
