Job summary

Irmo Vet in Irmo, South Carolina is seeking an Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will perform examinations, diagnose and treat medical conditions, and help ensure the highest standard of patient care while building lasting client relationships.

You will work with a supportive veterinary team, performing surgeries and providing compassionate, high-quality medicine in a modern facility designed for a calm, welcoming experience for pets and families.

Qualifications

• DVM required and SC licensure eligible
• Strong diagnostic and client communication skills required
• Ability to perform routine soft-tissue surgeries and dental procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop treatment plans
• Diagnose and treat medical conditions in companion animals
• Perform routine soft-tissue surgeries and dental procedures
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding diagnostics, treatment options, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
• Lead and work alongside a team of up to three veterinary assistants to provide exceptional patient care

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited college of veterinary medicine
• Eligible for veterinary licensure in the State of South Carolina
• Comfortable performing routine surgical procedures independently
