Job summary

UrgentVet Hospitals in Pottstown, PA seeks an Urgent Care Veterinarian to serve in a fast-paced, paperless clinic. The role focuses on after-hours care for canine and feline patients, with emphasis on wound care, infections, GI issues, and end-of-shift handoffs.

We operate with cloud EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs. The position features flexible schedules, second shifts, and a strong support network from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college.
• Active license to practice in the state (or ability to obtain a license).

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within UrgentVet Hospitals and the Philadelphia community.
• Encourage the growth of support staff through our internal LevelUp training program.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during our open hours.

Description

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Pottstown, Pennsylvania area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
