Job description

Associate Veterinarian — General Practice & Exotics
Central Florida | No Weekends | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Work-Life Balance
Practice great medicine. Build meaningful relationships. Have a life outside the clinic.

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Associate Veterinarian to join our general practice in Central Florida. Our practice provides care for dogs and cats while also seeing select exotic companion animals, creating a diverse and rewarding caseload.

Our goal is simple: provide excellent veterinary medicine while creating a workplace where our team can thrive.

A Schedule Designed for Work-Life Balance

We believe being an excellent veterinarian shouldn't require sacrificing your personal life.

Our regular schedule includes:

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • No weekends
  • Limited after-hours emergency responsibility
  • Local emergency clinics available for cases requiring overnight or emergency care
  • A genuine commitment to work-life balance
  • We want our veterinarians to have the opportunity to enjoy their careers and their lives outside of work.
Our Core Values: HEART

At our clinic, HEART isn't just an acronym — it's how we strive to practice veterinary medicine and work together as a team.

  • H — Honesty
We communicate openly and honestly with our clients, patients, and coworkers. We believe trust begins with straightforward communication and doing the right thing, even when it's difficult.
  • E — Empathy
We recognize that every patient, client, and team member has a story. We approach patients with compassion and strive to understand the concerns and emotions of the people who care for them.
  • A — Adaptability
Veterinary medicine changes every day. We embrace learning, new ideas, evolving technology, different perspectives, and the unexpected challenges that come with caring for animals.
  • R — Respect
We treat our patients, clients, coworkers, and the veterinary profession with respect. Everyone on our team has an important role in providing excellent patient care.
  • T — Trust
We build relationships based on reliability, integrity, communication, and accountability. Our team should be able to depend on one another.

We are looking for someone who shares these values and wants to help us continue building a culture centered around HEART.

What You'll Do

Our veterinarians enjoy a varied general-practice caseload, including:

  • Wellness and preventive medicine

  • Dermatology
  • Chronic disease management
  • Preventive care and client education
  • Urgent care during regular business hours
  • Routine surgical and dental procedures
  • Care of exotic companion animals

We welcome veterinarians who want to expand their skills in surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, or exotic animal medicine.

Practice With Modern Equipment

We believe veterinarians should have the tools they need to practice good medicine.

Our practice is equipped with:

  • Digital radiography
  • In-house laboratory equipment through Antech
  • Vessel-sealing technology
  • Dedicated dental suite
  • Isoflurane and sevoflurane anesthesia
  • Lift examination and treatment tables
  • Therapy laser
  • Surgical laser
  • Modern anesthesia and surgical equipment
  • Fear Free–focused patient handling and care

Our equipment allows our veterinarians to perform a wide range of diagnostics and procedures while keeping patient safety and comfort at the forefront.

Our Approach to Veterinary Medicine

We believe quality medicine starts with taking care of the people providing it.

  • Fear Free Patient Care
Reducing fear and stress whenever possible and creating a more positive experience for both patients and their owners.
  • Quality Medicine
Using appropriate diagnostics, treatment options, and modern equipment to provide excellent patient care.
  • Client Communication
Helping clients understand their pet's condition and participate in informed decisions about their pet's care.
  • Teamwork
Veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service representatives working together toward the same goal.
  • Continuing Education
Supporting veterinarians who want to continue learning and developing their clinical skills.
  • Work-Life Balance
A sustainable veterinary career should leave room for family, friends, hobbies, and life outside the clinic.
