As a veterinarian you will be diagnosing and treating various medical conditions in pets, ensuring their overall health and well-being. You will work closely with pet owners to educate them on proper care and preventive measures, fostering a supportive environment for both animals and their families.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical issues.
-Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as needed.
-Perform surgical procedures with precision and care.
-Provide emergency veterinary care when necessary, including critical care for injured or ill animals.
-Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting treatments and progress.
-Communicate effectively with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
-Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
-Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education.
Experience:
-Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution is required.
-Proven experience in animal care, including handling dogs and other pets is preferred.
-Experience in veterinary critical care is a plus.
-Strong skills in animal restraint and grooming techniques are beneficial.
-Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members is mandatory.
-A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing the highest standard of care is required.
Job Types:
-Full-time, Part-time
-Full time pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year based on experience
-Expected hours: 20 – 44 per week
