Job description

We are a privately owned mixed animal clinic that has been serving our county since the 1970's. Our clinic sits below the beautiful Peaks of Otter and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Wonderful small town with two large cities and a lake within a thirty minute drive. Enjoy the freedom to practice in a hospital with a family feel and no corporate pressure. Patient care and affordability is the priority. We love surgery, and do a lot of canine reproduction work. We service family/hobby farms and backyard pleasure horses. We no longer offer small animal emergency work, and large animal emergency work is limited.

This position can be small animal only or mixed animal (requiring working one weekend a month). Excellent ratio of LVTs to Doctors. Very stable staff with low turnover. Mentorship is not an issue. New graduates are never asked to perform tasks out of their comfort range and we have a backup doctor to support them with large animal emergency calls for at least six months.

If you are an experienced large animal or mixed animal vet that is burned out and ready for a change, then we may be your future hospital.
