Overview

Applewood Animal Hospital, located in Paradise Valley, Arizona,is looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our amazing team!

New graduates and experienced DVMs are encouraged to apply!

About our clinic: Applewood Animal Hospital is a full-service general practice, established in 2014. Our beautiful facility's diagnostic equipment includes an in-house IDEXX laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and tonometry. We also utilize the services of a board-certified internist and cardiologist for diagnostic abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms, as well as Animal CT, a mobile CT unit. All our exam rooms contain computers, making it easy to review radiographs with clients. We are paperless and use ImproMed for our electronic medical records. We also have a pet resort and spa on the property, allowing for an ever-growing client base, but our businesses are separate entities, allowing our staff to focus solely on providing the highest level of medical and surgical care.

At Applewood, our doctors perform dentistry and routine soft tissue surgeries. Our surgery suite is spacious and has skylights, providing ample amounts of natural light and a happy environment. We have SurgiVet monitoring equipment and there are two technicians assisting in surgery at all times. Pre-op lab work, IV catheters, and IV fluids are required for every patient undergoing anesthesia. We also have a Class IV cold laser, which is used post-operatively.

Most importantly, we have a phenomenal support staff, with a 2:1 technician to doctor ratio. They are well-educated, well-trained, enthusiastic, dedicated, and fun and allow our doctors to be incredibly efficient!

Our current hours are Monday through Friday, 7 am to 6 pm and Saturday, 7 am to 12 pm. Our doctors see appointments from 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 12 pm on Saturdays, working a 3 ½ to 4-day work week and alternating Saturdays.
