Job summary

Transcat is seeking a full-time Associate Validation Engineer based in Ohio, with up to 75% travel to client sites. You will work closely with clients to address validation needs and execute PM, IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols to ensure GMP/FDA compliance.

The role requires at least an associate’s degree or 2 years of experience, strong troubleshooting, attention to detail, and excellent communication. Willingness to travel and collaborate with teams is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Execute qualifications for client lab equipment and storage facilities (GMP/FDA) using PM, IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols.
  • Follow Good Laboratory/Documentation Practices.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and computerized systems.
  • Maintain close communication with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Other duties as required.

We are Searching for—

A full-time Associate Validation Engineer. This position involves working closely with clients to address their Validation needs. We are open to candidates that are located in Ohio, preferably near Dayton, Ohio. The position requires up to 75% travel to support various client sites, and reports directly to the Validation Manager.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities—

  • Execute qualifications for our client’s laboratory equipment and/or storage facilities in support of GMP/FDA requirements by executing PM, IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols.
  • Follow Good Laboratory/Documentation Practices.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and computerized software/ systems.
  • Establish and maintain close communication with assigned clients to ensure superior customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • At a minimum, an associate’s degree or 2 years of work experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ensuring the ability to interact with clients and peers in a professional manner.
  • Proficient with operating Windows computers, MS Office, and ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and work in collaborative teams.
  • Ability to work in different temperature environments- including but not limited to heat and freezers of -40 degrees.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 55 pounds.
  • A valid Driver’s license.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 75% of the time.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in a STEM field or trade certification in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, industrial technology, or a related discipline
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments
