Job summary

RLI is hiring an Associate Underwriter for Executive Products (Wholesale) in multiple cities, including New York. You will learn the underwriting process from application through policy issuance under supervision and interact with internal teams and brokers to manage the workflow efficiently.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and up to 3 years of related experience. Training, education opportunities, and a strong ESOP culture accompany a hybrid work setup and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, finance, accounting or business.
• 0-3 years related work experience for consideration.
• Ability to use analytical methods in underwriting processes.

Responsibilities

• Learn the entire underwriting process from start to finish.
• Review submissions to determine viability for quoting.
• Provide new business quotes to brokers after review with underwriter.
• Handle underwriting system entry for submission including rating model and endorsements.
• Perform policy review and approve for policy issuance.
• Build relationships with wholesale brokers in the territory.
