Job summary

A national insurance provider seeks an Associate to assist underwriters in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves supporting new and renewal business, ensuring quality control of documents, and delivering high-quality service to wholesale brokers. Candidates should possess at least 2 years of experience in Property & Casualty underwriting support, with a strong desire to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Property & Casualty underwriting support.
• Experience in Excess and Surplus lines underwriting is preferred.
• Ability to efficiently handle a high-volume workload.

• Perform quality control of documents including quotes and policies.
• Deliver high-quality service to wholesale broker customers.

Job description

Assist and support underwriters with new and renewal business including rating, form selection, binding, policy issuance and invoicing.

Quality control of various documents including quotes, policies, endorsements, cancellations and invoices.

Handle a high volume workload in a fast‑paced environment, maintaining excellence service standards.

Deliver high quality service to wholesale broker customers.

Learn the underwriting process and appetite and assist underwriters with new business, endorsement and renewal underwriting.

Evaluate submission, renewal and inspection information as part of the underwriting process.

In conjunction with underwriters, work closely with wholesale brokers to develop relationships and enhance their understanding of the Company’s underwriting rationale, philosophy and criteria.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Property & Casualty underwriting support experience
• Underwriting support in Excess and Surplus lines environment strongly preferred
• Proficient in policy and workflow insurance applications
• High energy and desire to learn
