Job Description

Purpose of Position:

Performs medically prescribed ultrasound procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology.
• Effectively assess patient's information and status, and follows appropriate procedure(s) accordingly.
• Independently implements patients’ procedures in accordance with department protocols and standards.
• Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure.
• Directs and monitors student clinical training.
• Performs all duties and tasks assigned by Supervisor and/or Designee.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid certification in Sonography issued by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); and
• One (1) year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer.
