Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Transportation Planner in Baltimore, MD to contribute to planning and multimodal projects. The role focuses on data capture, modeling, and analysis to inform safe movement of people and goods by all modes of transport.

You will assist in plans, public involvement, and regulatory compliance, applying Vision Zero and complete streets concepts. Growth opportunities exist within a collaborative Planning Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a planning-related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in transportation planning, with involvement in plans and public involvement.
• Familiarity with project development cycles and regulatory frameworks.
• Analytical skills and ability to work with data, statistics, and maps.
• Proficient with planning software and office tools; strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering observational, spatial and environmental data for projects.
• Utilize maps, GPS data, and visualization tools to locate project areas and sensitivities.
• Contribute to general and specific master plans, zoning updates, and public involvement.
• Support quality control, data visualization, and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver equitable transportation solutions.
• Prepare technical memos, meetings notes, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Engage in public involvement meetings and assist in long-range planning efforts.
