Whitman Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking a talented Transportation Planner in Baltimore, MD to work with our team of planners and engineers on transit and multi-modal projects. The right candidate will bring a strong background in transportation planning, excellent client service, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

The role requires 11–15 years of experience in transportation planning, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency with GIS, Microsoft Office, and Adobe programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
• 11-15 years relevant experience in transportation and/or transit planning.
• AICP certification or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serving as part of project teams with multiple project managers focused on transit and multi-modal studies.
• Participating in transportation infrastructure studies including transit development plans and BRT.
• Performing data analysis, mapping, and visualization planning work.
• Assisting in project implementation with clients, public agencies, and the public to garner support and funding.
• Developing policy positions, advocacy strategies, and presentation materials.
• Serving as task lead on transportation and transit projects including feasibility and environmental studies.
• Planning and evaluating mobility services including fixed route bus and demand response transit.
• Providing general planning support including data collection, research, and documentation.
