Binomial Real Estate supports Blackstone’s residential mortgage portfolio business. Binomial manages a portfolio of business-purpose loans and reperforming loans (RPL’s), providing critical asset due diligence and vendor oversight. Binomial, a remote-first company, has its corporate headquarters located in New York, NY with employees located in each time zone.

Why this role is valuable

The Transaction Management team’s primary responsibility is supporting the Blackstone residential mortgage business by managing the following components: Trade Booking/Settlements, Loan Level Due Diligence Reviews, and supporting Securitizations. The Associate’s role will support each of these functions under the guidance of the SVP of Transaction Management. This position will interact directly with the trading desk, internal business groups, and external vendors.

NOTE: The preferred geographic location for candidates is either Salt Lake City, Utah or the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

How you add value

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate all aspects of due diligence for the acquisition, sale, and securitization of residential loan portfolios.
• Ensure timely resolution of loan level exceptions and determine resolutions and potential cures.
• Manage relationships with loan sellers and diligence vendors to ensure due diligence meets agreed upon timelines.
• Support the Conduit loan buying process : finalize populations, data integrity, coordination with diligence vendors.

What You Bring To The Role

Binomial Real Estate seeks to hire individuals who are motivated, experienced in the subject matter area, and are detail oriented while working within hard deadlines mandated by regulation, and are self-sufficient in a remote work environment. The successful candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar discipline is required.
• 3+ years’ experience in the Residential Mortgage industry combined with experience in Trade Booking/Settlements, Loan Level Due Diligence Reviews, and supporting Securitizations
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel
• Previous experience SQL and/or mTrade is a plus
• Self-Sufficient and ability to work remote within a team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with vendor relationships

As of the date on which this job advertisement is posted, Binomial anticipates that the base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 (this represents the presently anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base salary range for this position). Total direct compensation may also include discretionary bonus and/or incentive compensation. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
