Job summary

Composition Wealth is seeking an Associate Trader to join our investment team in Chicago. You will execute trades across custodians, maintain investment models, and support portfolio management.

The ideal candidate has a finance background, at least 2 years in investment management, and strong analytical abilities. You will collaborate with the client service team and report to the Director of Trading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment management, preferably within a wealth management or asset management firm.
• Professional certifications (working toward CFA, Series 65, etc.) are a plus.
• General knowledge of financial markets, investment vehicles, and portfolio management principles.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades efficiently across multiple custodians using a range of applications, ensuring best practices.
• Execute trades seamlessly across multiple investment vehicles using various trading software platforms to ensure precision and efficiency in the trading process.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of trading workflows, systems, and processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Prepare, maintain, and analyze trading and portfolio reports to monitor activity and support investment decision-making.
• Analyze portfolios, trade activity, and investment data to support portfolio management and trading decisions.
• Collaborate with the client service team to address any trading-related inquiries or needs.
