Job summary

Trademark Associate - Prosecution role with an established IP firm in Boston. You will handle U.S. and foreign trademark matters, including prosecution, counseling, enforcement, licensing, and advertising for sophisticated clients across multiple industries.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of relevant trademark experience, strong writing skills, and an active state bar. This hybrid position offers collaborative teamwork and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of U.S. and foreign trademark counseling, clearance, and prosecution experience.
• Experience preparing and responding to cease and desist letters and enforcement matters, including domain name disputes, UDRP actions, TTAB proceedings.

• Superior writing skills and strong academic credentials.

Trademark Associate - Prosecution

An established and highly respected intellectual property firm is seeking an experienced Trademark Associate for its trademark and copyright practice. This position offers the opportunity to work with sophisticated clients across a wide range of industries and handle a variety of trademark and copyright matters, including prosecution, counseling, enforcement, licensing, and advertising. The ideal candidate will have experience with both U.S. and foreign trademark matters and will be comfortable advising clients on brand protection and related intellectual property issues. You will have the opportunity to apply your legal and analytical skills to complex matters while working collaboratively with experienced intellectual property attorneys and clients. Who You Are

• You have 1-3 years of U.S. and foreign trademark counseling, clearance, and prosecution experience, including reviewing clearance searches and preparing substantive responses to USPTO office actions.
• You have previous experience preparing and responding to cease and desist letters and handling other enforcement matters, including domain name disputes, UDRP actions, TTAB proceedings, and matters related to the use of trademarks and social media platforms.
• You have experience in copyright law.
• You have an active membership in the state bar and are in compliance with CLE requirements.
• You have superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• You thrive when using your analytical skills to conduct complex and detailed analysis of legal matters.
• You enjoy communicating with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.
• You are enthusiastic about working within a team-oriented environment and will contribute to effective team relationships.
