Job summary

RYSE Wellness LLC is seeking a licensed mental health professional to join our residential behavioral health program. You will perform biopsychosocial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver individual and group therapy within a team-focused setting.

  • CA licensure as AMFT or APCC active and in good standing.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain on hire.
  • Knowledge of DSM-5-TR criteria.
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop treatment plans within 48 hours and update weekly.

Job description

RYSE Wellness – Residential Behavioral Health Program

The Therapist serves as a foundational clinical provider within theresidential treatment program and is responsible for deliveringhigh-quality direct care to assigned clients. This role focuses onaccurate clinical assessment, development of individualized treatmentplans, conduct group therapy and the consistent delivery ofevidence-based therapeutic interventions.

The Therapist workscollaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team to monitorclient progress, identify clinical risks, and ensure treatmentinterventions align with program goals and regulatory standards. Thisposition emphasizes strong documentation practices, effective communication with clinical staff, and adherence to established clinical protocols.

Primary Responsibilities:
Clinical Assessment
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments within 24 hours of client admission.
  • Complete Treatment Plans within 48 hours of client admission
  • Gather relevant clinical history, presenting concerns, risk factors, and treatment needs.
  • Identify potential barriers to treatment engagement or stabilization.
Treatment Planning
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with clinical needs and program structure.
  • Ensure treatment goals are measurable, realistic, and clinically appropriate.
  • Update treatment plans weekly and when clinical appropriate.
Direct Clinical Care
  • Conduct individual therapy and group therapy sessions according to program guidelines.
  • Facilitate clinically appropriate group therapy sessions.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions addressing emotional regulation, behavioral health concerns, and treatment engagement.
Clinical Documentation
  • Maintain objective, timely, and accurate progress notes.
  • Document treatment interventions, client responses, and clinical observations on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure documentation complies with regulatory, accreditation, and internal quality standards.
  • Complete Weekly client note and progress notes.
  • Assess for suicide risk, self-harm, homicidal ideation, behavioral instability, and other clinical safety concerns.
  • Develop and update safety plans when clinically indicated.
  • Immediately communicate urgent clinical concerns to nursing, medical providers, and leadership.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and incident response when needed.
  • Complete incident documentation according to agency policy.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
  • Participate in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Attend weekly clinical supervision.
  • Communicate relevant clinical observations to medical, operations and behavioral staff.
  • Coordinate with case management and nursing staff regarding client care needs.
Client & Family Communication
  • Provide education regarding diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and recovery.
  • Facilitate family sessions when clinically appropriate.
  • Communicate professionally with family members and outside providers while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Assist clients in identifying barriers to treatment and developing solutions.
Quality & Compliance
  • Maintain compliance with ethical standards, licensing regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Follow all clinical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in chart audits, quality improvement initiatives, and competency training.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
  • Complete all required annual trainings and continuing education.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.
  • Associate

California licensure - Associate Marriage and Family therapist (AMFT)or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). Active and in goodstanding.

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Knowledge of DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria.
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in residential treatment, inpatient behavioral health, PHP, or substance use treatment.
  • Experience facilitating psychoeducational and process groups.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based practices.
  • Experience using electronic medical records (Kipu preferred).
