Job summary

Newport Healthcare in Kentucky seeks an Associate Therapist to deliver individual therapy within our clinical model and to support group sessions, contributing to a healing, client-centered environment.

You will collaborate on multidisciplinary treatment teams, participate in screenings and discharge planning, and engage in ongoing trainings to expand your clinical expertise. A Master’s degree and board registration to accrue licensure hours are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (required).
• Board registered to accrue hours towards licensure (required).
• Experience facilitating therapy with children, teens, and/or young adults (preferred).
• Cultural competency and a clinical style aligned with Newport Healthcare’s therapeutic approach.
• Capacity to listen attentively and communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure or when facing change, delays, or unexpected events.

What You’ll Do

The Associate Therapist facilitates individual and group sessions with clients, mentors direct care staff, and works collaboratively within treatment teams. Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitating individual therapy sessions within the framework of Newport Healthcare’s clinical model
• Facilitating clinical and experiential group therapy sessions to support healing and connection
• Participating in screenings, intakes, orientations, assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning
• Attending trainings and clinical supervision sessions to enhance your skills and broaden your knowledge
• Serving as a vital part of your clients’ multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Supporting the team with crisis prevention, intervention, and management as needed

Compensation Range: $29.55 - $40.63 per hour based on education and experience.
