Job summary

Olympus Corporation of the Americas is offering a Sales Development opportunity designed to train and work with Territory Managers within the Surgical Business Team. The Associate Territory Manager will collaborate with Territory Managers serving surgeons and clinical professionals in operating rooms and office settings.

You will train in milestones and competencies, travel frequently to customer facilities, and develop consultative selling skills to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Reach product or account goals with Territory Manager guidance.
  • Achieve milestones and competencies in ATM Training & Development Program.
  • Call on hospital and office customers.
  • Provide in-servicing in operating rooms for physicians and staff.
  • Maintain relationships with customers during pre- and post-sales activities.
  • Deliver and pick up products as needed.
  • Develop sales presentations and use consultative selling in territory.
  • Stay informed on company products and competitive landscape.
  • Represent the company professionally and maintain records timely.

A Sales Development opportunity designed to be a multiyear program to train and work with successful Territory Manager(s) within the Surgical Business Team. The Associate Territory Manager will work in conjunction with the Territory Manager(s) who works with surgeons and clinical professionals focusing on the surgery markets in operating rooms and office settings.

Job Duties
  • Accountable for reaching specific product or account goals as determined along with the Territory Manager.
  • Accountable for achieving specific milestones / competencies as outlined in the ATM Training & Development Program.
  • Call upon customers in the hospital and in the office setting.
  • Provide training and in-servicing in the operating room during procedures, to physician, staff and other personnel.
  • Follow-up with customers during pre and post-sales efforts to ensure proper customer-company relationships.
  • Deliver and pick up products as needed.
  • Develop and utilize sales presentation skills to sell company products in an assigned territory or product area via consultative selling.
  • Become conversant in the creative selling programs offered by the company to meet sales results.
  • Acquire, maintain and expand knowledge of company’s products, competitive landscape, and the market in order to meet the customers’ needs.
  • Act in a professional manner when representing the company.
  • Complete and maintain sales paperwork and other records in an orderly fashion and submits in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform other job related objectives and special assignments in partnership with your Territory Manager.
  • All Other Essential Duties as directed.
Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven track record of success.
  • Ability to relocate after completion of the program and desire to grow career within the Surgical Business organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High-energy, excellent work ethic, both reliable and positive
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment over 40lbs.
  • Establishes, develops or maintains field contact with key customers, clinicians and researchers, and other decision makers in assigned accounts including travel to customer facilities and onsite support.
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time, including extensive regional and long-distance travel.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends is required.
  • Position requires frequent overnight travel and the ability to provide support at customer locations as business needs dictate.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must adhere to all customer and vendor credentialing requirements.

Preferred:

  • Sales experience, 1-3 years a plus, but not required.

Total compensation:$50,000.00base salary per year + eligibility for a performance-based commission plan,which includes certain non-discretionary incentives based on predeterminedobjectives. Commission earnings are not guaranteed and are determined by individualsales performance in accordance with the terms of the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan.
