LifeFormations specializes in the design and fabrication of animatronic figures, sculpted elements, exhibits, and interactive experiences. Our work can be found in leading theme parks, museums, science centers, and branded spaces all over the world.

Position Overview

This is an Associate position within the Plastics department to consistently produce molds and casts across a variety of composite materials (including but not limited to Fiberglass, Epoxy, Urethane, and Silicone) with excellent quality. This person must be a highly self-motivated individual that can move quickly and efficiently from one task to another and has the ability to work as part of a team.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Execute processes for molding and casting according to the schedule.
  • Consistent quality in molding, casting, trimming, and bodywork skills.
  • Comprehension of different methodologies and how to find efficiencies.
  • Exhibiting qualities of proactive thinking/planning.
  • Execute processes for molding/casting to meet quality expectations set by both LF and client standards.
  • Complete Plastics Fabrication QAP as required by each project.
  • Identify potential ways to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain shop safety guidelines and practices.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Travel to assist on installs.
  • Cross-training to develop skillsets and support other departments such as Sculpting, Fit Up, and Print Clean Up.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years' minimum experience in a similar role or fabrication shop.
  • Knowledge of fiberglass production, carpentry, and steel fabrication.
  • Knowledge of the molding and casting process of sculptures.
  • A detail-oriented multitasker. Must have great communication skills and the ability to easily adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with both electric and pneumatic hand power tools.
  • Driver’s license required.
  • High school diploma required.
  • This position is full-time; must have flexibility in your schedule to allow for extended hours as needed on a project by project basis.

Compensation: Hourly position commensurate with experience.
