Provision of assistance within the OT complex
(A) Operational
• Prioritizes, directs, and distributes work assignments.
• Works in collaboration with the Team leader (OT) to review and validate the next day surgical schedule preference card requirements.
• Develops, in collaboration with the manager an action plan for addressing identified deficits and/or instrument resource conflicts for the next day surgical schedule.
• Acts as an information source and communication link between each of the OR locations and / OR rooms.
• Serves as a resource to physicians, nurses, and other technicians for instrumentation issues for all desired patients.
• Assesses case cart deficiencies discovered after delivery and coordinates the timely replacement of missing items.
• Identifies broken or missing instrumentation and creates requisitions for instrument repair and/or ordering.
• Coordinates the delivery and return of case carts and other items between the operating rooms and CSR.
• Ensure adequate infection control & waste management practices.
• Handover and take charge of shift.
• Maintain proper inventory and count the same daily in every shift.
• Check working condition of the equipment/instrument
• Replace the broken things from the respective stores.
• To ensures that the OT is clean and tidy
• Ensures that all scheduled surgical cases are reviewed 24-48 hours in advance.
• Prepares stock and non-stock requisitions for approval and processing by Head Nurse, CSR.
• Receives all incoming merchandise, new repairs, and other items that are delivered to the Operating Room.
• Compliance to protocols.

• Internal customer feedback: turn around times for performing tests and their reporting
• Cost consciousness
• To attended at least 80% of training classes.
2 to 5 years of experience in a super/multi specialty hospital
• Competent in providing prompt and high quality patient care. Knowledge.
• Demonstrate compliance to lay down policies and protocols.
• Builds good interpersonal relationships.
