Provision of assistance within the OT complex

  • Identifies broken or missing instrumentation and creates requisitions for instrument repair and/or ordering.
  • Coordinates the delivery and return of case carts and other items between the operating rooms and CSR.
  • Ensures adequate infection control & waste management practices.
  • OT Management
  • Handover and take charge of shift.
  • Maintains proper inventory and counts it daily in every shift.
  • Checks the working condition of equipment/instrumentation.
  • Replaces broken items from the respective stores.
  • Ensures that the OT is clean and tidy.
  • Reviews all scheduled surgical cases 24-48 hours in advance.
  • Prepares stock and non-stock requisitions for approval and processing by the Head Nurse, CSR.
  • Receives all incoming merchandise, repairs, and other items delivered to the Operating Room.
Performance Parameters
  • Compliance with protocols.
  • External customer feedback: patient satisfaction.
  • Internal customer feedback: turnaround times for tests and reporting.
  • Attend at least 80% of training classes.
Education

Industry Preference: Hospital / Healthcare

Experience

2 to 5 years of experience in a super/multi-specialty hospital.

Knowledge
  • Competent in providing prompt and high-quality patient care. Knowledge of protocols.
  • Demonstrates compliance with policies and protocols.

Builds good interpersonal relationships.
