Job summary

MSD Animal Health in De Soto, Kansas is seeking an Associate Packaging Technician to support vaccine and biologics packaging. You will handle bottle labeling, packaging, and related documentation while meeting daily production goals.

The role requires basic computer skills, GMP knowledge, and the ability to work overtime as needed in a manufacturing environment. You will contribute to continuous improvement and document control within a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Ability to demonstrate basic time management and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day packaging operations including label application and bottle packaging.

Summary, Focus and Purpose The Associate Packaging Technician position is available at our Animal Health facility in De Soto, Kansas, located near Kansas City metropolitan area. The DeSoto facility is expanding operations to manufacturing vaccines and biologics for large and companion animals and leveraging an experienced and innovative team environment, the key technologies at the site are biologics production using fermentation and cell culture platforms, filling and packaging. Working within the packaging operations teams you will be expected to be able to work independently and as part of the team to contribute to the daily completion and schedule adherence of production activities. The packaging operation is made up of teams that carry out the day to day production activities of sealed bottle label application, bottle packaging, palletization, process document completion, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation. The position requires someone who can demonstrate good attention to detail and achieve a consistent error‑free execution of daily job responsibilities, be able to complete documentation using Good Documentation Practices and be able to identify opportunities for process improvement and employ basic problem‑solving skills.

Salary

The salary range for this role is: $39,900 - $62,800 This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

Other Compensation

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
