The Associate Technician is responsible for rigorously testing and configuring a variety of equipment.
What you'll be doing:
- Tests networking, server and storage products to all order specifications
- Properly rebinning equipment to appropriate locations within the distribution centers
- Proper and efficient testing of all incoming gear. Using Testing platforms and tech logging all testing output into our ERP systems.
- Interfaces with Shipping, Receiving, Repair, Order Management, and Inventory. This will include Sales, Sparing,
- Takes phone or visitor messages and delivers to appropriate individual
- Accurately inputs information into ERP system (SAP and Oracle)
- Learns and uses test equipment
- Maintains safe, clean and organized work space
- Composes and types routine correspondence and memoranda using word processing software
- Compiles and types statistical reports including tables and text using spreadsheet software
- Performs other related duties as required
What we are looking for:
- Basic Knowledge of testing methodology, topology, cabling plant
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of modern warehouse procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping
- Ability to lift and position material up to 50lbs.
- Knowledge of modern business communication, specifically electronic communication
- Ability to use a personal computer and various software packages including skills in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to accurately follow instructions and retain technical information quickly
- Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints and diagrams.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Proven organizational skills
- Demonstrates teaming behaviors including effective communication skills face-to-face, via email, and on the phone
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and as part of a team, and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Two to four year college degree preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year industry experience with IT networking hardware,
- 3 months experience working with CATOS-based fixed configuration switches (i.e. 2948G)
Travel:

What you'll be doing:
- Tests optical transceiver products to all order specifications
- Put away all tested optics into inventory
What we are looking for:
- General PC command line experience
