TPSE Associate Technician

We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Entry‑Level Associate Technician. This is a great opportunity to build experience in the electrical utility field.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn to stake and map power line routes for electric distribution utilities
• Work with GPS and GIS/GNSS tools
• Utilize GPS to collect and record field data
• Apply GIS software tools to draft and design utility infrastructure layouts
• Work with landowners and team members to support construction planning
• Assist in permitting and easement activities
• Maintain and care for field tools and equipment
• Travel to job sites across the region using company‑provided vehicle and equipment
• Support a variety of tasks based on project needs

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The employee may be required to stand; reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel
• The employee may be subject to rough terrain and inclement weather
• The employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time
• The employee may be required to lift, carry, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds
• The employee may be required to travel
• The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions including wet and/or humid conditions
• The employee will be required to wear safety‑toe boots or hiking boots

Requirements

• 0‑2+ years of utility staking or electric utility field experience
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfortable walking on uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
